BOOO!!
Hahahaha! So lame! LOL
I know I haven't been blogging for ages, it was because I was really busy for the entire 3 month holiday, I was doing rag :) Haha. I'll probably blog about it when I have the time. It was the most amazing though tiring experience everrrrrrrrrrrrr. ^^
MOVING ON!
My foodie, SamSam and I went on a foodie adventure together! hehe.
It was our free day on wednesday, so we decided to head out together and have awesome food before we start tutorials this week.
Our first stop was Strictly Pancakes
We went to the one at Prinsep Street, and apparently, this place was set up by 2 SMU undergraduates a few years ago, and now, they are quite successful! :)
When we reached, we had to wait for seats as the place was full house, and here we are looking hungry and sad.
Okay, maybe not so sad, but we were hungry :(
And after 30 minutes of waiting, several tables worth of people walked out at the same time (like whatttt?!)
That aside, we were elated that we could finally eat!
While waiting for our food, I overheard a conversation between a guy and his female friend. He was saying that his guy friend, say John, recently broke up with his gf, say Jane, of 3 years. He said that John wasn't happy for the last 2 years, and had been contemplating to break up. His friends encouraged him since he was unhappy, and he finally did it. So, Jane, feeling sad, went over to John's place to talk things out. This eventually led to a break up sex. LOL.
His female friend's reaction was like "omg, no, why the hell do you want to lose your virginity to someone who won't stay with you? I wouldn't do that if I were here. Break up sex is an excuse. Ridiculous"
Then the guy said that it was a closure for both John and Jane. Well, they debated for a bit and both still insisted on their point of views. But to me, it's kind of dumb to have break up sex.
Then the food came! ERMAIGAWD LIKE FINALLY.
The glasses used to hold the honey were so adorable! They were slightly slanted. And both me and SamSam chose garlic butter out of the ?? types of butter (oops, I can't remember :( )
I ordered Garlic Buttered Prawns Pancakes while SamSam ordered Beef Skewers Pancakes!
I have to say, the Garlic Buttered Prawns one was really awesome, the sauce is heavenly for a garlic lover like me. I really tried to soak every single drop of sauce with my pancakes hehe. It deserves to be the well loved dish <3
The Beef Skewers Pancakes on the other hand was a little bit bland and plain. The beef was too tough. I like my steaks medium rare, and this is well done in my opinion. So meh. The salsa sauce on the side wasn't to my liking too. Probably because I don't like sour weird tasting sauces. Sorry :(
We got $1 off each dish as we opted for 2 pancakes instead of the usual 3 since we knew we were gonna eat quite a bit. This, I think, is good especially for those who cannot eat much or wants to try different types of pancakes :)
Next, we tried Bananas-Scotched Pancakes, and it tasted like normal sweet pancakes! hahaha. It was alright, not say fantastic. I guess I would stick to the savoury ones when I come back the next time. Plus, I think the Potatoes Leeking Cheese one sounds super delicious *drools*
Oh and one thing, please check your bill when you pay, because I just checked my receipt and realised they keyed in the wrong orders and missed out our Bananas-Scotched pancakes. So we ended up paying lesser than we should.
After this filling meal, we moved on over to our second stop of the day.

The place was really spacious since it occupied a lot of space haha. Ok, like duh. But the chairs were big and comfy.
Since we had our meals already, we went for the cakes!
She wanted to add strawberries! So I tried making fanned strawberries. It was supposed to look like this..
But it turned out like this..

L-R: Earl Grey Cake, Strawberry shortcake, Crepe cake
I felt that the cakes tasted nice. But the earl grey one needed to have a stronger earl grey taste. For a person who loves earl grey, that teeny bit of scent isn't enough yooooooo :(
The strawberry shortcake was light and fluffy, so I loved it.
The crepe cake was nice too. It was my first time trying a crepe cake hehe. But sorry, I prefer soft and fluffy cakes so I wouldn't eat crepe cakes often D:
We also ordered a cup of mango smoothie! I wanted to order Earl Grey tea, but to my astonishment, a pot of tea costs $11. OMG. I'd rather buy a box full of them from NTUC hahahaha. No but say serious, it's too expensive for me.
I bought the mango flavoured and berry flavoured royal pudding back to eat because I was too stuffed to eat more :'(
Tried the caramel one the last time, so yeap!
And as usual, it's so soft and delicious that I have nothing to comment about it on! Too exaggerating but ya. :) Have yet to try the mango one though!
Before I forget, my OOTD for that day! :D
Then, we went our separate ways :'(
We both had things on at night. But we had a great time stuffing ourselves teehee!
Upon arriving back in hall, my dearest neighbour, Xin Tian was making bread pudding for her SNDC date! And I got a taste of it! It was delicious but because I was so stuffed, I couldn't eat anymore </3

Quite fail I know. But whatever laaaa.
Oh and Tuesday was initiation, a thing we do in Sheares to officially initiate the freshies into Blk B to become TRUE BLUE BEEKERS!
And our dearest Marcus aka ban ma gege didn't go through initiation last year, so he had to do it this year, and he got sabotaged hard haha.
At our station, he lost so our ex block head decided to put peanut butter in his hair as hair gel though we had honey too. He was like a walking bottle of peanut butter, the smell was woahhhhhhhhhhh.

Poor kid^
HAHAHAHA
Well, that's pretty much it!
I'm going to blog about last Friday's trip to Kiseki soon too! It's too late now :(
