Food Adventures: Senjyu Japanese Restaurant

Went out with my mum a month ago and went to Senjyu Jap Restaurant to eat!

#02-58/59/60/61
930 Yishun Ave 2
Northpoint Shopping Centre
Singapore 769098

I think they don't take reservations leh. Haha.
Anyway, if you know me well enough, you'll know that I crave for sushi & sashimi EVERYDAY.
I'm not even kidding please.

Ahhh, the fat juicy salmon sashimi pieces, so pretty and yummy <3

So, since I was out with my mum, I saw this restaurant, so I asked if she wanted to eat since we had steamboat buffet for lunch.
I drank more soup & water, so I got hungry by the time it was dinner ._."

Of course she agreed. HEHE.

When you go in, you can choose to sit near the conveyor belt or just the regular tables :)

This is the cotton candy drink!
It sounded so cool, of course I ordered it!
There's syrup, lychee, ice and cotton candy on top.
It comes with a can of sprite.

So after I poured the sprite in, it became like this.
It still tastes awesome even though the colour looks a little weird. HAHAHA

My mum ordered some sake thingy haha.
She was telling me that some sake are pure some are not, but I can't quite remember the differences in their names :(
I was more excited for the food HAHAHAHA.

Chawanmushi
It is always a must have for me even though it's just steamed egg to some people.
It's pretty good in my opinion.
Soft and silky

MY FAVOURITE FOOD IN THE WORLD!!
So fresh and yummy OMG.
Ordered two of this!

This is Shake Sarada Maki ($9.99)
It's lik the healthy version of sushi hehe
Using salad to replace rice.
It's is pretty creative to me :)

Hotate Canapé ($9.99)
It's pan seared scallop and asparagus with yuza glaze on a tomato. HAHA
I swear that the cool pate makes it so damn artistic and photogenic.
The yuzu glaze gives it a sweet and sour taste.
It's my first time trying this dish and I think I'll eat it again :)

Sunrise Maki ($12.99 for 8pcs)
It contains breaded crispy oyster & mozzarella cheese and fried.
I've never eaten a fried sushi before!
It's quite interesting, I couldn't taste the fishiness of the oyster.
To be honest, I hate oyster, but I totally overlooked the word oyster when choosing this dish.
I only focused on the cheese LOLOL

But it was good! Though it does get a bit gelat (sickening/boring) after a few of it.
But it's still worth trying!
There's the 4pcs option which is $6.59 :)

Phoenix Maki ($10.99)
Apparently, the menu spelt Pheonix HAHA.
It contains fresh tuna, avocado & tempura flakes in the center toped with salmon sashimi, avocado and fish roe.
The yellow sauce tasted like mango and the brown is soy sauce I suppose.
The sweet, sour and salty combination is quite nice.
And the tempura flakes give the maki another form of texture, which is good :)

This is the waygu sushi.
It was horrible omg :(
They've ruined the meat!

I didn't quite like how the entire thing tasted, it just tasted weird.

At the end of the day, we spent $100+ after all the service charge and GST.

I think the atmosphere was good and the manager had a very friendly attitude (I think he was a Malay/Indian)

Of course, if you think that this is too expensive, you can always order the bento sets or set meals.
Those are more worth it I think. :)

I'm feeling hungry and craving for salmon again :(
But I've been so broke lately that I think I need to quit eating it till after CNY </3
But the good thing about being broke is that I won't eat out at all, neither will I buy food from the vending machine on my level (What a bad place to have it! It has yoghurt and fruits, but also instant noodles and chocolates)
I'll only eat the food I brought from home (bananas, eggs, oats and mushrooms)
So.. it's a blessing in disguise :D

On a side note, it's the second week of school and it seems like everyone's getting homework and starting on their readings.
I think it is about time that I start on my readings as well, if not when they pile up, I'll die :(

SO I SHALL LEAVE NOW!!
BUHBYE ^^
