Do you remember my pretty purple-red ombré hair that I DIY-ed in December last year?
Read more about it here :)
and
Well it has faded :(
From this to...
THIS! :(
Haha. I purposely washed out the purple part using anti-dandruff shampoo in hopes that the purple would become lighter and not look like black under normal light :(
So by right, the purple should have lasted for more than a month.
And after 3 months plus (I took this on 23 Feb), the black roots were rather obvious and I didn't really like it. But as you can see, it's still red. It didn't fade to brown as quickly as those salon dyes. So it's good! :)
Anyway, I didn't want to take care of my black roots at all. So I decided to dye my hair (AGAIN)
I decided to go with Liese since I liked how convenient it is to apply and how evenly applied it is :)
So I got it in Dark Chocolate.
These are what you normally see when you buy liese bubble hair dye:
1 bottle of developer
1 bottle of dye
1 pump/cap
1 piece of instruction sheet
1 packet of wash off conditioner
1 pair of latex gloves
The instructions are pretty simple.
Pour the dye into the developer bottle (big bottle), cap it and mix GENTLY!
Then just apply! Apply from top down, just like how you do it when you're shampoo-ing your hair. SIMPLE! ^^
AND TADAAAAA!~
Sorry but my hair was a little wet. haha. It was pretty even. But because my hair was previously a bright red, my roots would appear slightly darker than the rest of my hair. But it's ok! A least now it looks like it'll fade from black to brown to light brown? LOL.
But I'm going to bleach my ends soon! And dye it purple! It'll be light purple this time :)
EXCITED!!
Meanwhile, I'm trying to condition my hair as I'm hating how dry my hair is right now :(
I'm currently using this. L'oréal fall repair 3X 1 minute treatment mask. I'm using it on alternate days with my original conditioner. It seems to soften my hair but my ends are so damaged that it'll take quite a while. I'm spamming hair serums as well.
So, if you want to dye your hair and all, make sure you're willing to risk the smoothness for pretty colours.
I'll probably do the bleaching tomorrow night? Keep a look out for this space <3
