Foodalog: Rainbow Cake Pops!

Have you seen the rainbow cake pops that I made?
It's so pretty and delicious!
But I warn you first, it is a tad tedious :(

Here are the ingredients!
I couldn't find the Betty Crocker's cake mix hence I had to resort to baking the cake from scratch.
I got the cake recipe from here :)

I used 1 and 3/4 cups of sugar because I don't want my cake to be too sweet since I'm adding chocolate coating. But you like it sweet, then add the full 2 cups :)

I attempted to crack the egg with one hand and I succeeded!

It'll be good to add in oils with lesser taste, don't add oils like olive oil because your cake is going to taste like olives LOL.
Vegetable oil is the safest!

Add in the flour bit by bit and the mix continuously :)

You can skip this step if you're just baking the simple, one coloured cake :)
I just like rainbows, so I made my life hard by doing this hahahaha

Then bake for 30-40 min (Oh yes! Remember to preheat your oven before you start making the batter, read the recipe link!)

Keep adding cream cheese/frosting until you can mould a ball out of the crumbled cake.
Don't add too much cream cheese though. I used one block of cream cheese for the entire cake, but you can use slightly more :)

Then freeze the cake pops.

At this point, you can add the lollipop sticks if you want.
Just dip the lollipop sticks into the chocolate, and stick it into the cake pop.
Then put the cake pops back into the freezer to chill.

If you don't want to put in the lollipop stick, move on to the next step! :)

This small jar was for my friend!
I baked for his 21st because I had no idea what to buy.
OOPS :(

But it looks gorgeous! Especially the non coated ones!

Okay! This is enough!
I hope this is simple enough.

Although it is tedious, but the steps are rather simple ya?
It's a good family activity I think :)
But maybe, you don't have to trouble yourself with the colours la. Just one colour will do :)

I'm think of doing more Let's Float series, like the common misconceptions.
I'm no expert, but I just want to share what I know.
So yes? HAHAHA

Been so busy with caroling, my site and work.
I hope I don't die hehe.
OK BUYBYE!

Crazy obsessions: Dyed + frayed shorts

Hi girls!!
I know I'm crazy but I keep buying a few of the same things, like a few skater skirts with different colours, tons of crop tops and knits etc.

HAHAHA.

So now, I'm going to do different blog posts on all these collections that I have.

I'm going to start off with my favourites!
My frayed and dyed shorts!

First, I've complied a mini video clip with all my shorts! Hehehe!
I'll write more further down in my post :)

Stay the Night by Zedd is currently my weekly obsession!
So catchy, repetitive, yes. But still pleasing to the ears <3

And TADAAA~~~
MY PRECIOUS BABIES!

Bulk of my shorts are from Kaleidoscope Eyes :)
I've mentioned them before in my previous post.
The shorts are all vintage Levis, Wrangler etc.
She hand cuts the, frays them and use super good and vibrant dyes to dye the shorts.
I swear she is the nicest seller I've met! <3
And her shorts smell damn nice :D

Oh yes, the shorts are one of a kind, they might look similar but they are different! HAHA.

This is the latest one in my collection.
I got this when she had 25% storewide!!
This pair was already on sales
It was originally USD$70, but after the sales and an additional 25%, I only spent USD$41 on it!

This was USD$70

This was USD$70 as well!

This was USD$70 too!!
I swear that her marbled technique is damn cool.
I've never seen someone else produce such shorts before!

This was USD$65

This is one of my favourite pairs!
The ombre look, gosh, too gorgeous <3

I just like the chalk-ish effect here la HEHE

The subsequent ones are from other sites! :)

This one, I got it at SGD$40 from Yvonne! She's good at DIY-s, not sure if she's doing more, but you can ask her :)

The following are all from Etsy!
Just go there and search and there's quite a lot of unique shorts! :)

This pair was USD$30
It looks damn unique! HEHE.

Plus, look at the pocket!
Cutie pie cut out cross! <3

This costs USD$30 I think.

This is one of my favourites too!
Such a pity that the seller over-frayed the pockets :(
but still very pretty!
Sewed the pockets to the denim so I won't expose myself :)
Oh yes, this was USD$70

She made it after I ordered it, so worth it la.
I seldom see such a pair of pretty galaxy shorts.
Most of the stars on other shorts look horrible.
These looked like they really sparkle

This pair cost like USD$40
Beautifully drawn skeleton <3

This is probably the most regretful impulsive buy ever!
It's from Runwaydreamz when THEY DID NOT HAVE SALES :(

It's USD$168 </3

Pretty la, but still, I don't think I should have bought it because it's so expensive :(

So, I've calculated, all these shorts cost about SGD$1890 plus minus?

I bet all your reaction would be like this.

Aww Robert *melts*

But anyway, I bought most of these during my 8 months vacation after A levels, when I was working.
So I had the money to do so.

Now, I am not working, so all I do is wait for sales, and then I'll strike LOLOLOL.

Wait for more of these ok? HEHE.
I know I owe y'all a lot of posts. But read the rest and I'll update as soon as possible <3
