Empire State with a tad bit of candy gore

The last I blogged was maybe 10 days ago? hahaha!

So now I'm back!! :)

I went out with my JC friends to Causeway Point to catch up.
Well, the Causeway Point you see now isn't quite the same as when I was 13 years old.

It used to look like this

Then it was renovated and it now looks like this
It's both good and bad. I had been going to CWP my entire secondary school life since it was just a few minutes' walk away from my school (Riverside Secondary). But ever since I went to JC and then uni, I seldom visit CWP because I just go straight home which is at Admiralty. So it's rare for me to head there. Hence, I'm still not very familiar with the stores in the new CWP though I know that B1 now has a lot of food stores. And when I said a lot, I really mean a lot. hahaha.
Okay, back to the topic. So I went to Empire State which is located at level 2.

Taken from google

I ordered their Seafood Chowder ($6.90) which was highly recommended (according to the menu). It's nice :) I like chowders a lot. But I don't drink them often due to the high calories :(

Then I ordered Chicken Fettuccini ($14.90). It tasted nicer than those in pastamania hehe. But the portion given is so huge that I cannot finish my food :( But then again, it means that it's worth the money!

I was so full that I didn't feel like getting their desserts :(
And another thing, their uniform had funny captions at the back.
One of which is "I didn't climb to the top of the food chain to be a vegetarian" or something like that. It was funny at that time due to how my friend phrased it to laugh at my vegetarian friend. But if I were a vegetarian, I would be kinda upset if I saw this :(

After which, we went to watch Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, which explained the "candy gore" in this post's title :)

It's rated NC16 due to some gore scenes but then again, they didn't reveal the full gore else it'll be M18. haha

It didn't feel very gorey to me. But it was somehow funny at some parts. I like how they infused the original Hansel and Gretel story we've all heard when we were young about their trip to the candy house and their parents bringing them to the forest and all. But it was a nice change to the usual childhood story.

Ah and yes. I finally had time to collect my prize from the giveaway done by Manic Panic SG :)
