Had set aside today (okay, now it's yesterday) to go out for good food with my dear Samantha <3
We met each other during Fright Night, part of NUS Arts Camp. We were from different houses, but our couples sat in front of each other while waiting for our turn. I was wearing my PJC shirt, so she asked if I knew her friend and I said I did. And since we were all scared, we chatted and we became friends! haha! Wonders of the world <3
Okay, so, I haven't seen her since the start of semester, which is about 3 months. We never did manage to bump into each other even though we were from the same faculty. Soooooo, since we missed each other, we asked each other out *awww*
We went to Pique Nique because I heard it's not that bad. haha.
JCube: 2 Jurong East Central 1
#01-08
Takashimaya: 391A Orchard Road
#B1-01/02 (Beside KFC)
It took us quite a while to look for the shop, we walked the whole floor, not knowing that it was beside KFC. haha.
Sam decided that she wanted Norwegian Benedict ($14)
It's the first time I've tried egg benedict, yes, I've been living in my own little world lol
And I decided that I should get Petit Mac & Cheese ($7.80)
And I got Earl Grey tea ($6.80). Favourite tea beside fruit teas :)
I liked the taste of the Norwegian Benedict though it's my first time trying egg benedict. I like salmon so anything with salmon makes me happy. Mac & Cheese was nice too, but I haven't tried enough M&C to decide if it's best. And the Earl Grey tea is so fragrant <3
So, after the main course, we felt that we weren't full enough, so we ordered more! DESSERTS! How can anyone resist desserts?? :)
Sticky Date Pudding ($12)
This here is extremely delicious! It's like how you'd feel when you eat brownie with ice cream. It's a warm moist date pudding covered with butterscotch and served with vanilla ice cream.
You can see vanilla seeds in the vanilla ice cream, which means it's all-natural! (I think)
Definitely my favourite out of the two desserts
Hot Iron Waffle with salted caramel
This tastes like what you get at any restaurant actually. But, the waffle is crispy, so it's good :) But it gets kinda gelat after a while.
This 4 dishes costs us $61.65 after GST and service charge. hahaha. Okay la, it's considered alright for a restaurant. :)
After walking around, we decided that we weren't exactly full, neither were we hungry, but we just craved for ice cream. And we saw Gelateria Italia at ION B4 (If I'm not mistaken, it's on the same level as the food court and Daiso :)
We bought Caramel Baileys and Moscato de Scanzo. Hahaha. Yes, we are aware they contain alcohol, we have high tolerance for alcohol :)
Caramel Baileys didn't have as strong an alcohol taste than compared to Moscato de Scanzo. Well, if you've tried Baileys, you'd know it tastes like vanilla ice cream flavoured alcohol. Moscato de Scanzo is made of wine I think because there was an bunch of grapes on it? haha. This had a more significant alcohol taste, but it tastes rather good ^^
Always loved gelato more than ice cream because it feels so much smoother and it has less fats! HAHAHAHA
I'm proud of myself that I for once did not spend a single cent on shopping when I'm out. The past few dates with my friends have cost me at least $10 because I couldn't resist temptations. :(
Okay! I shall continue watching Glee now.
Au revoir
