Blogshop Festival 2013!!

I realised it has been nearly a month since I last blogged. hehe. But I'll explain why later in my post!

Now, I'm sure many of you have heard about the blogshop festival that was held yesterday at St James Power House.

Well. From past reviews about other mega fleas, the response had been rather bad. I've heard things such as:

"The priority/VIP tickets were useless as we were released at the same time"

"People could cut queue and no one said a thing about it"

"The flea was too messy"

"The flea was too crowded, to the extend that we had to push our way through everything"

Going for this after winning a pair of VIP tickets from OMS with my friend, Si Jia was both exciting and scary as I thought it'd be like past fleas. Although I've never been to other mega fleas, the reviews are enough to turn you off.

But to my surprise, it was pretty good. (I'll explain later why it's good :D )

First of all, I went to this flea because it was a St James! I stay in NUS's hostel, which is located near pasir panjang road. So it was super convenient for me to go to St James.

We woke up at like what, 10.15am? We slowly slowly changed etc and reached vivo at 11. Withdrew some money and grabbed a bite then headed to St James.

It was both our first time going to St James. Well, we never did want to visit St James (we both club, yes) because my friends always say that it isn't very good there. But that aside, when we reached, there were 3 queues. 1 for VIP shoppers, 1 for normal shoppers and 1 for vendors.

I guess the vendors had to queue early in order to get good spots.
Initially the normal shoppers queue was much shorter than the VIP's. But eventually, it grew pretty long.

*pops in random photo of us lol*
(my cui-ge-lao-sai face, but only photo we had that day LOL)

So, for the VIP's, we had to check our name against the list, and then, we were given a wristband so that we could re-enter if we wanted to.

Plus, we were the first 20 VIPs, so my friend and I both got a goodie bag from OMS!!

Look at the goodies inside! There's a ton of goodies by 90s The Candy Studio!
All the childhood candies and snacks <3
I'm a 90s kid yooooooooo.

There's also a pretty bracelet, OMS voucher, eatprayshop voucher and a pretty helium balloon!!
And obviously, I chose the lilac balloon! So preetz. I also got the cookies OMS's owner baked when I bought stuff from her booth! ^^ Yums

At 1pm, the VIPs were let in first. So my friend was like "eh hurry hurry before everyone else comes in" Epic but we really chiong-ed.

I went in and bought something at the first booth I visited. I am such an impulsive buyer. D:

This was some random shot I took of the flea. Didn't want to raise my arm any higher coz I paiseh :(

Anyway. It got a bit crowded as the normal shoppers got released to come in. But despite that, we could still walk. Just that some areas were a bit squeezier due to the space constraint. Only after we got out that we realised that there was a mega long queue for the normal shoppers outside. Thank goodness we got the VIP tickets. Plus, they were released in batches to prevent congestion inside.

Not to mention, we got a free drink! No not house pours, soft drinks. LOL. You mad? House pours. HAHAHAHAHA.

And guess what? I saw Lina and Yukime, well they recognised me by my violet kanken bag :P So touched to have someone recognise me :)

My loots for that day!!!
Animal racerback crop top (from F21, not the flea) - $19
Red polka dots top - $17
Black bandage skirt - $7.90
Tribal top - $10
Turquoise criss cross tank - $10
Brown satchel - $20
Crochet mouse - $8.90
Tribal shorts (from OMS) - $6

Spent a total of $79.80 at the flea! I think it's a super worth it deal pleaase. Many of the items were slashed by at least 50%!

Closer view of the satchel and the crochet mouse! Both so preetz, omg, I can't even..

And yeap, we got spammed with loads of vouchers and name cards. But hey! More places to shop at maybe? :P

And I'm so god damn busy lately D:

So June just ended right. I had 5 days of camp, 2 days trip to Batam. And the rest of the weekdays, I've been spending them in Sheares on rag.

And for the past 2 weeks I haven't have more than 6 hours of sleep :(

TIRED.

Then this coming July, I will be even busier D:
1) I will still be working on rag on weekdays.
2) I am starting work at Timbre on weekend nights.
3) I'm giving tuition on weekend afternoons.

I'm so busy that I might not be able to go home or even handle my blogshop </3

But hey! It is kinda nice to feel so busy. But I need a rest leh. I need a sleep that is undisrupted and go on and on without an alarm.

And and and! I snipped most of my frizzy bleached ends away! My hair is quite short now :(
But nvm! It has been a year since I snipped off more than an inch of hair.

I'll probably blog about my Batam trip soon!

So before I go, here's a picture of us we took at the Monster U booth outside GV at vivo :)
We queued 20 minutes for this!

Okay buhbyeee
