Thlovecarousel: Swensen's!

And so... I went to Swensen's with my mum and my youngest brother for lunch/dinner (dunch/linner, okay lame) today. I haven't been there since I was in J1, which is about 2 years already?

Anyway, my mum bought this $80 cash voucher for less than $80 of course.

We went to the outlet at West Mall as it was the one nearest to my place.

This is located on level 2 :)

I ordered Earl Grey again. This one costs $4.50, and they gave a sachet from Lipton. LOL. Totally not worth it. The one at Pique Nique was nicer :)

I ordered Sirloin Steak, medium rare. I like it bloody :) The very first time I ate Steak was with my ex-boyfriend and he ordered medium rare for me. Since I liked it, I stuck with it. I've tried other doneness but it just didn't feel as good as medium rare. Anyway! This is alright, although the fats and tendons were quite tough :(

This costs $22

Me and my mum shared this, Laksa Aglio Olio ( I forgot the price). I didn't really like this. The spaghetti is cooked with chilli, garlic, olive oil. The usuals. And, they added the finely chopped laksa leaves which I didn't really like, even though I loved laksa. So it's not very nice. haha. The prawns were boiled, then grilled slightly.

Only liked the prawns.

My brother ordered Fish and Chips as per usual since he doesn't eat anything else.

Then he said he was still hungry, so we ordered the fish baked rice for him. I like their baked rice :) The cheese is soft soft soft! I like :)

Then, my mum and I shared this! Apple crumble pie :) It's served on a sizzling hot plate. The waitress then pours the caramelized apples and butterscotch over :)

The vanilla ice cream looked yellowish, haha. I have no idea why. It had the same colour as the butterscotch.

Those with a sweet tooth will like this :)

With all that said, I still want to say that I don't really like to go to Swensen's since the food there isn't fantastic and they charge the same as other restaurants. Probably won't go their for a long while :)

Then, of course, being out with my mum, I went shopping! I bought this pair of heels at Metro (sighpie, I always thought Metro has nothing nice till I saw this pair of heels.)

I don't have a single pair of peep-toe heels, neither do I have a pair of nude heels. This is one of the lower heels I have. All my heels are 5.5inches. haha. This is only 3.5inches! :)
